Big order from TTS for Blumenbecker China

Anywhere ships are unloaded and reloaded efficiently and vehicle ferries consistently run to time, TTS Group ASA can likely take some of the credit. A world leader in segments of the marine market from mega freighters to luxury yachts, it now partners with Blumenbecker. 

Headquartered in Bergen, Norway, TTS Group ASA is a trusted supplier in the ocean-going world, supplying big-name customers such as Meyer Werft, Stena and TUI Cruises with solutions ranging from electrical hatches for freighters to deck equipment, movable vehicle ramps, cranes and other port technology. 

“TTS looked at 15 producers of switchgear and chose us and one other,” says Xinmin Zhao, Sales Manager for the Blumenbecker automation companies in China. "We were chosen because they were impressed with our experience and the quality we provide, and because we are located quite close to them."

The co-operation with TTS Huahai Ships Equipment Co. Ltd and TTS Marine (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, is a long-term one. Blumenbecker will produce switchgearand cabling for TTS at its factory in Shanghai and will assist with commissioning on site as required. The products will be used in a variety of solutions in China and around the world. 

Zhao says the diversity of the destinations makes for an extra challenge for Blumenbecker. “Some of the projects require special certification for marine classification societies like CCS and DNV, so we have to be very flexible in the support we provide to TTS.”
