Bomag: Awarded the Innovation Medal at this year's GaLaBau

Bomag has succeeded once again in winning an award for product innovation, this time for the new BT 60 GS gas tamper. This success was officially confirmed with the presentation of the award certificate at this year's GaLaBau in Nuremberg. From a total of 124 innovations that were entered in the BGL innovation contest, the expert jury selected Bomag's gas tamper as one of the 15 winning products.

With the GaLaBau Innovation Medal, the BGL (Federal association for horticulture, landscaping & sports facility construction) recognizes the successful development of new and progressive processes for the construction and maintenance of landscaped areas. One important criterion is that the new product meets the requirement of improving working conditions and the quality of work on construction sites. Furthermore, performance should be improved, and it has to be demonstrated that the manufacture, use, and final disposal of the product are carried out in accordance with ecological principles.

BT 60 G and BT 65 G gas tampers - economic and environmentally friendly at the same time

The newly developed BT 60 G and BT 65 G gas tampers meet all these requirements perfectly. The machines offer a practical, economic, and environmentally friendly solution for working in places with poor fresh air exchange, such as in halls and deep trenches as they are supplied with a gasoline engine and operated with standard propane gas. The tampers also score with their extremely low carbon monoxide levels of almost 0%. They correspondingly not only meet the strictest workplace regulations, but are also particularly environmentally friendly. As a result, it is even possible to work with the gas tamper in working depths of over 3 meters. Because of the machine's long service life of two hours and its ease of use - the user simply needs to replace a refillable gas bottle - it is easily integrated into flexible construction workflows.

This also convinced the expert jury, who particularly praised the CO-exposure, which has been reduced to a minimum, and their ability to be used in closed rooms.
