Abbey Machinery are leaders in the manufacture of precision diet feeding technology, high output tankers & applicators, large capacity agitators, multi-purpose muck spreaders, accurate grassland toppers and fertiliser spreaders – Abbey Technology caters for the ‘Total Cow’.

This combined with CLAAS world renowned tractors, forage harvesters and green harvest technologies are a winning combination for farmers in the Midlands and South West of England.

Richard Vaughan, Director CLAAS Retail remarked that “we were looking for a partner to complement our existing fleet of machinery and Abbey Machinery fit the bill with their high quality tankers, diet feeders, side spreaders etc. The things that impressed us most were Abbey’s agility to respond to our needs, the energy & focus of their staff and the quality of their machines”.

“Our partnership has only just begun and initial sales are very promising. More importantly, we have already received excellent feedback from A&M M Gregory & Sons of Saltbox Farm who recently received their Abbey VF 1500 Diet Feeder. Already it has saved them half an hour a day due to the speed of processing the feeds and the ability to feed both sides of his feed passage at the same time. Selecting the option of a two speed gear box means his lower horsepower tractor does not struggle when the feeder is full. We are very excited about this new exclusive joint venture with Abbey Machinery”, remarked Will Greenway, Sales Director CLAAS Western.

“As we enter our 70th year of machinery manufacturing this initiative is a great step forward for our company, it gives us huge exposure to top class farms in the south of England through CLAAS Western outlets in Cirencester, Evesham, Frome, Dorchester and Winchester” remarks Clodagh Cavanagh, Abbey Machinery Managing Director.

Michael O’Grady, Sales, Marketing & Business Development Manager, Abbey Machinery said “this is an exciting development for Abbey and we will work hard with CLAAS Western to bring our latest technologies to farmers in the region. Their professional approach to supplying high quality product backed with high calibre service has great synergy with Abbeys Machinery’s ethos.”

Ross Gibbon Abbey Machinery Regional Sales Manager for the territory says he is “looking forward to supporting CLAAS Western and helping to get the partnership off the ground and move the business forward”.
