Hubtex container transporters make organising sewage and similar treatment plants easy

Wastewater treatment, waste incinerator and waste disposal companies count on containers as load carriers for their logistics purposes. To make these overall processes economically viable, their transporting weight can reach more than 10 t quickly. This exceeds by far the capacity of standard forklifts operating at container terminals or outdoors. Especially for this range of application, Hubtex has developed container transporters with a load-carrying capacity of 25 t. Furthermore, these transporters can be individually adapted as is the case, for example, at the wastewater treatment plant in Koblenz, Germany.

The special equipment manufacturer Hubtex produces three basic models for the waste disposal sector. These models differ in their type of load-bearing equipment, which may be lifting harnesses, lifting rails or fork supports. Depending on their application, all vehicles can be equipped with electric-, diesel- or petrol-powered engine. For example, at the wastewater treatment plant in Koblenz, an electrically powered container transporter of type CT-E 140 with a lifting harness makes the logistic sequences inside the container terminal and outside much easier.

First place of installation: Wastewater treatment plant Koblenz

At the container hall in Koblenz, container transporters with a load-bearing capacity of 14 t lift containers measuring 3,400 x 1,600 x 1,450 mm and move them 300 mm above the ground to their next destination. The low structure and minimum lifting height of the particular equipment was an important criterion for the owners of the water treatment plant. These features made it possible to avoid cost-intensive retrofitting of the chain conveyor belt system. Another benefit of this solution is the 3-wheel undercarriage design that provides increased stability during the transport.

Poor subsoil conditions do not present a challenge since the vehicle maintains contact with the ground and transports the containers safely to their destination. Based on the choice of design, an additional drive does not need to be mounted underneath the operator's cabin. Therefore, the height of the cabin could be kept as low as possible. Furthermore, the position of the operator's seat is positioned 90° to the load. As a result, the operator's cabin is in an optimum position, and a very low access height is ensured. Moreover, the all-round visibility is exceptional while manoeuvring the equipment and while handling the load. PU soft tyres are used for the application on concrete, cobblestones and asphalt surfaces. Inside the container hall, these tyres make driving across heavy-duty grates easy and, at the same time, protect the operator's back inside the vibration-cushioned cabin.

Based on the high number of wastewater treatment plants, waste incinerators and waste disposal management companies in Germany, Hubtex sees a significant market potential for its new container transporters. Its comprehensive engineering know-how and experience in numerous industry branches makes this company also the main contact for special forklift solutions of any kind.
