Every year the Manufacturing Excellence Network rates the manufacturing industry’s best practices in the German-speaking countries. Supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, the MX Award is dedicated to the principle of “Recognizing Strengths – Setting Standards”, issuing awards for industrial innovativeness. In a two-stage application process which began with a self-assessment audit and was followed by an on-site business review performed by recognized experts, the MX jury came to the conclusion that Jungheinrich Landsberg was the best company in the category of “Product Innovations”. Prizes were awarded in five categories, with an additional special prize issued. The awards ceremony took place on 11 November in the Axel Springer building in Berlin. The awards ceremony moderators consisted of Dr Inga Michler, a business reporter for the WELT Group, and jury chairperson Dr Raimund Klinkner, chairperson of the MX Board and honorary professor for production logistics at the Technical University of Berlin.
