KUHN Large Square Baler 1270 DX: where technique meets performance

The LSB 1270 DX completes the range of the KUHN Large Square Balers in the 120 x 70 (2x4) segment. The new LSB 1270 DX is capable of reaching up to 10% higher density and up to 15% higher capacity compared to previous models. This makes it ideally suitable for those baling operations where high capacity and high efficiency are required regardless of the various (crop) conditions.

  • X for Xtra bale density; the LSB 1270 DX can reach up to 10% more density compared to previous models. Use of a new strong main gearbox gives up to 30% extra load capacity compared to the previous model. This extra load capacity can easily provide 10% higher bale density. Redesigning the baler frame and bale channel frame of this double knotter model brings a new dimension to high bale density. Furthermore, the friction in the bale channel has been increased. This is achieved by simply using stronger and bigger diameter bale density cylinders. Extra bale density will help reduce the handling and transport cost, especially over longer distances.

  • More capacity; the machine can reach up to 15% higher capacity in dry bulky swaths with the optional driven crop roller. The crop roller is mechanically driven and protected by a cam clutch for optimal performance. The extra driven crop roller and KUHN INTEGRAL ROTOR ensure a trouble free intake by uneven swaths.

  • Driver comfort; the double knotter system on the KUHN LSB 1270 DX is constantly monitored and visible on the control terminal. This system enables operators to find a maximum in bale density and capacity at all times. New is the electronic twine tension control on the upper slacker arms. This electronic feature eliminates the need of a mechanical solution on the machine and brings the reflectors to the working screen of the terminal. The driver-friendly system also alerts the driver in case of a knotter failure.
