New KWT 1300 added to the Krone tedder range

The new KWT 1300 is a trailed rotary tedder which works at 13.10m and suits all farming operations – from individual farmers to contractors and machinery rings. The twelve 1.53m diameter rotors with 6 tine arms and tines of different lengths spread the material uniformly. With tines set to a consistent depth, crop contamination is eliminated and forage quality improved substantially. The hard wearing 9.5mm Super C tines with 5 coils around the arms are perfectly protected from loss and the spreading angle adjusts without tools to one of 4 positions and between a 13° - 19° angle.

Like all Krone tedders, the new KWT 1300 feature Krone’s tried-and-trusted OctoLink clutches. Unlike universal joints that need daily lubrication, these maintenance-free 8-finger clutches guarantee fail-safe frictional connections and work reliably in any position. Like all Krone tedders, these have maintenance-free and liquid-grease immersed rotor gearboxes that reduce service and maintenance to a minimum. In addition, arranged underneath the beams the gearboxes do not form structural parts, a design that reduces significantly the stress and strain on the boxes.

Its rigid 40km/hr running gear makes KWT 1300 a quiet running machine despite its large work width. Attachment to the tractor is easy and convenient courtesy of the standard hitch ring (top and bottom attachment) and the compact running gear makes the machine also suitable for small tractors. The premium KWT 1300 Plus version suspends the running gear hydraulically, shifting the machine weight away from the axle for sward protection. Also, a coil spring on the three-point linkage headstock prevents the lower links from lifting out during the headland turn.

A deflector curtain for border control is an option. and is lowered into work from the cab.
