Socage at bauma: News

Just a few days after the end of Bauma 2016, Socage is already seeing the results of this inimitable, international exhibition, which was very successful and brought new business to the company. Many Italian and foreign visitors visited Socage stand, among which there were both new and old clients. This means that great results have been achieved and hopefully that business will increase in 2016 and after.

Here is the declaration of Mr Alessandro Flisi, son of Socage CEO, Mr Fiorenzo Flisi:

“Bauma always touches me. Being present at the most important exhibition of the world is a great responsibility: we show everybody what our company has done and the products that we have. During this exhibition, we presented what we believe in, with the purpose of making other people believe in our products too. For me, helping people coming from all over the world fly high is a great satisfaction! I showed them that I do exactly what I feel like doing. I chose to follow this path, and I am proud of what I am doing. I am very happy to shake the hand to smiling people who say to me that the high fly has been a dream for them. In occasion of Bauma 2016 Exhibition, Socage has decided to show the world a combination of technological innovation and Italian design.

The following aerial working platforms will be shown: the forSte 75TJJ, a 75 m high telescopic platform with double jib and an outreach of 40 m, mounted on a free circulation truck; the forSte 15VTJ, a telescopic aerial platform with jib and a height of 15 m, mounted on a 3.5 ton van with a great payload. In addition, the exhibition will be an opportunity for Socage to present the E Series that includes aerial work platforms with electro-hydraulic controls, mounted on an X-shaped chassis (X-Factor chassis), with a capacity of 300 kg, and installed on 3.5 tons trucks.

The innovative E Series is the result of a research on the production material and of a collaboration between Socage and the Austrian company Welser, which makes special and ultralight profiles.

The collaboration between the two companies resulted into the SPP (SOCAGE PROJECT PROFILE):

the development of tubular profiles made of high resistant material, with the purpose of producing ultralight aerial platforms’ chassis. The profiling technique is applied with the use of rollers, laser welding, laser tube cutting and robot welding.

SPP’s advantages include: modularity of the machines, 30 – 50% reduction of the aerial part weight and a high reduction of vehicle consumption.

The E series comprises: the forSte 21DJ, a 21 m high double articulated platform with jib and the forSte 20TJ, a telescopic aerial platform with jib with a height of 20 m. The forSte 20TJ has been created ad hoc for the German market and it is characterized by automatic stabilization, memory function, controls from the basket and automatic closure. Finally Socage will show the forSte 28D, a double articulated platform with a height of 28 m and an outreach of 14,50 m mounted on a 3.5 ton trucks, in a new and lighter version.

For the 1st time at Bauma, Socage presents a new patent: CONVERTIBLE BASKET

The new aluminum basket can be hydraulically enlarged, its dimensions are 2300/3500 x 1300 x 1100 and it has a lifting bar to easily load the basket. This invention is especially targeted at those who work with Eternit panels, and it can be mounted on any TJ-TJJ Socage aerial platform with minimum height of 35 m.

Moreover, Socage applies the electrocoating treatment on the booms before painting them. In Electrocoating, pieces are submerged in a specific liquid, with the purpose of ensuring a better resistance to corrosion and to chemical agents’ attack, by optimizing the final painting’s adherence.

As for future projects, we are finishing the Range TJ-TJJ and the range of VAN mounted platforms (with an height of 8 to 17 m) with the basket rotation.

Finally, Socage goes on with its expansion project:

To achieve this goal, new sales agents have been hired, to develop both national and international markets. Furthermore, Socage is also assessing the possibility to open new branches in different areas of the world.
