Do you need additional mobility to drive occasionally in difficult conditions?
The AddiDrive™ system is an additional hydrostatic transmission that offers to trucks and trailers better mobility in difficult driving conditions such as mud, snow, sand, slopes...
It consists of a hydraulic transmission in addition to the standard mechanical transmission which transfers torque to a non-mechanically powered axle when needed. This hydraulic aid installed on the front or rear axle is an ecological alternative to full-time allwheel drive.
The benefits of AddiDrive™ are not only mobility, other benefits include:
-
Gives more efficient traction power without impact on the chassis and preserves dynamic performance of the standard vehicle.
-
Improves the productivity by optimizing the vehicle versatility and payload.
-
Activated only when needed, allows energy savings compared to AWD vehicles.
-
Contributes to the vehicle safety and driver comfort on difficult fields or in poor conditions.
How it works ?
The two hydraulic motors are directly integrated onto the spindle of either a steering axle or a fixed axle. The pump is driven by the engine Power Take-Off (PTO) and provides the energy to the system. The hydraulic valve manages the activation of the system and allows operation in free-wheeling mode. The Electronic Control Unit with embedded AddidDrive Software manages communication and operating logic between the system and the vehicle.
