BREAK-THRU® SP–New Environmentally Friendly Adjuvants for Agricultural Chemicals

Evonik launches two new sustainable adjuvants, BREAK-THRU®SP 131 and BREAK-THRU® SP 133, which are designed to improve the performance of agricultural chemicals, mainly in tank-mix applications. BREAK-THRU® SP stands for “sticker and penetration” since the products first improve the adhesion and retention of agrichemical sprays and facilitate the up-take of crop protection actives in a second step. 

The new adjuvants are based on polyglycerol esters which are derived from mild, "green" chemistry. They exhibit excellent efficacy improvements in combination with a wide range of herbicides, insecticides and fungicides. Both products can be easily applied tank side into aqueous formulations. They improve the adhesion, retention, and coverage of agrichemical sprays and activate up-take of pesticides to optimize the efficacy of pesticide formulations. 

BREAK-THRU® SP 131 and BREAK-THRU® SP 133 adjuvants comply with increasing requirements on product safety, environmental friendliness and convenience of handling. The new adjuvants supplement the BREAK-THRU® portfolio of super spreaders, oil enhancers, and dispersing additives offered by Evonik Industries.
