A critical need in mining today is to develop more efficient and safer methods for removing and installing G.E.T. on buckets in the field. The ESCO ToolTek System is leading the mining industry with a safer way to install and replace Nemisys® points and adapters. The system has been developed in a collaborative effort with key mining customers.

The ToolTek system includes a boom crane mounted tool head that is remotely operated, well out of harm’s way during replacement of worn components. New parts are pre-staged on racks conveniently positioned on the flatbed truck outfitted with the hydraulic crane. The system can remotely engage and disengage the G.E.T. locking mechanisms during a changeout, making the process truly touchless for mining maintenance personnel, increasing safety.

During replacement of parts on one bucket, a crew is exposed to hundreds of touchpoints which are eliminated with the ToolTek system. Advantages of the ToolTek system include enhanced worker safety, fewer workers to replace G.E.T. components, all required parts and tools on one truck and safer disposal of worn parts.
