The E-Power Tractor – a completely new, battery electric prototype delivering 130 hp – has been specifically developed for operations where low emissions and high flexibility are essential, such as in orchards and vineyards, municipal work, and livestock farms. Its modular high-performance batteries from KREISEL Electric, which can be configured with three to five units depending on requirements, offer a capacity of up to 195 kWh and enable different machine configurations. The tractor operates emission-free and quietly, requires less maintenance, and promises exceptionally easy handling. Through the John Deere Operations Center, remote diagnostics, charge management, and operational optimization can also be performed. Market launch is planned for 2027 in limited quantities, with full production in 2028 and onward.
With the CHIMERO High Power Charger, John Deere and KREISEL Electric are presenting a charging solution that enables fast and reliable charging even where grid capacity is limited. The system features a 115-kWh battery manufactured in Europe, making it ideal for farms seeking to deploy electric machinery flexibly. Together, both exhibits demonstrate how John Deere is developing technologies that support the practical integration of electromobility in the agricultural sector.

John Deere’s presence at the show also reflects a technology open strategy for sustainable and alternative drives. The company continues to advance efficient combustion engines, expand the use of renewable fuels such as biodiesel and HVO, and pursue electric drives for lower power segments. This multipath approach aims to offer farms solutions that meet their individual needs as well as current energy and climate policy frameworks. Electrification is therefore understood as a complementary option – used wherever battery technology already provides practical advantages.
John Deere is showcasing both innovations at the VDMA joint booth in hall 3.2 (booth number 413) and invites industry professionals to explore the future of alternative drives in agriculture on site from 16 to 25 January.
