Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA),  the provider of Jungheinrich® lift trucks and narrow aisle products in the United States, Canada and Mexico, today introduced the new 2,200 lb. capacity Jungheinrich EKS 110 low-level order picker to its North American product line.

The new 24-volt Jungheinrich EKS 110 model is ideal for order picking processes from the first to third racking levels – reaching order picking heights of up to 181 inches.

Unique features and benefits of the EKS 110 low-level order picker include:

Maximum Productivity

The 3.2-kW drive system facilitates travel speeds of up to 8.7 mph (14 km/h). The drive system has been designed for improved acceleration with minimum power consumption for greater order picking efficiency. Jungheinrich Curve Control automatically reduces speed while turning corners, helping to enhance control over loads. Curve Control helps facilitate smooth and controlled travel.

Ergonomic Design

The EKS 110 workstation is designed to make work easier for the operator. Various travel and lift movement settings provide a comfortable work environment when travelling and order picking. Operators can utilize the order picker’s “jog” button for forward and reverse movement from the side of the compartment for short shuttling, eliminating the need for operators to get back on the truck for greater productivity. Additionally, the four-inch full-color display provides key diagnostic information as well as offering the operator three selectable travel programs via soft key.

Application-Based Options

The optional auxiliary mast allows the operator to raise a pallet to waist level for more ergonomic placement of product during the picking process. For operations that have long distances to travel, the Drive Plus option increases travel speeds by up to 30%, leading to reduced cycle times. Various LED light options help illuminate the picking position and travel areas for improved visibility.

New Jungheinrich products are supported by a one-year / 2,000-hour warranty that includes parts and labor, as well as components and systems, and a two-year / 4,000-hour extended Powertrain warranty. All Jungheinrich products are also backed by the Parts Fast or Parts Free Guarantee that ensures next-business-day-delivery by 5 p.m. of Jungheinrich parts, or the parts are free, including freight, in the United States. For customers in Canada and Mexico, the guarantee ensures shipping of parts within 24 hours from the time the order was placed.
