Plastic Tank with Intank Return Line Filter

Unlike welded steel tanks, plastic tanks in customer defined shapes are mainly used where design space is very limited and where a light design is preferred which is typical for mobile hydraulics.

Special advantage: the customer achieves a customer-specific complete system, tailored to his demands including hydraulic filter, air breather, oil level indicator, and screw connection (if required) – everything from one source. Due to this integration the complete tank system contributes to the reduction of logistics and transport cost.

The new plastic tank design by HYDAC is fitted with an intank return line filter with a flow direction from inside to outside. Fitted with excellent HYDAC element material the filter reliably provides a high and constant cleanliness class in mobile working machines. Main advantages of this tank design are:

• Improved component cleanliness, since plastic tanks leave the manufacturing process very clean.

• Improved use of the existing design space due to a form-optimized design (complex, bent forms are possible)

• Cost-effective
  - costs only depend on the tank volume, not on design complexity
  - tank = filter housing, additional material for filter housing is not required.

• Enormous space savings,
  because the integrated filter is completely installed in the plastic tank.

• Highest system cleanliness
  through the high dirt holding capacity of the high-quality HYDAC filter element material in the intank return line filter.

In most cases, these tanks are fitted with breather filters (e.g. BF10), which enable reliable filtration of the air flow entering in case of oil level fluctuations.
