Rototilt® launches the new R5 tiltrotator

For many years, Rototilt Group has been a total supplier of tiltrotators for excavators and backhoe loaders. It is now launching the Rototilt® R5, a new model aimed specifically at machines in the segment 14 to 19 tonnes. "The Rototilt® R5 is aimed at this fast growing machine segment so it's important to match the right capabilities and size with the right value for the customer," says Per Väppling, VP Marketing and Sales, Rototilt Group AB.

The R5 will have the same characteristics as the rest of the Rototilt R range with result is simpler service and a longer service life. There will be an integrated carrier, improved central lubrication (ILS) and a new type of hydraulic connection. The rotor body consist of an entirely new, improved casting.

- We have taken the very best from the Rototilt® R concept and added a number of smart solutions that both improve the operating characteristics and provide a better return of investement over the machine’s life, says Niklas Bjuhr, Rototilt Group Technical VP.

The new tiltrotator will be equipped with the optional smart ICS control system and SecureLock™, and can be integrated with the machine's grade control system through the Rototilt® positioning solution (RPS). RPS is now available for the most common, well-established machine control systems on the market.

At the same time, Rototilt® is launching yet another innovation. Rototilt is the only tiltrotator manufacturer in the world, able to offer single acting tilt cylinders with load holding for the Rototilt® R4, R5, R6 and R8. Single acting cylinders reduce the tiltrotators profile when working provides advantages in narrow or limited space. Current safety regulations specify load holding as a requirement when using pallet forks.

Rototilt® R5 will be launched at Bauma 2016 in Munich, where sales will begin.
