STEIGER ® T 630 Celebrates World Premiere

Mission accomplished! In just 1.5 years and in record time, RUTHMANN has managed to develop a total of 5 models in the highly successful HEIGHT performance-STEIGER ® series.  The STEIGER ® T 630 is the newest addition to this exciting series of large machinery that has become extremely popular both at home and abroad. The new T 630 was presented during the annual International Sales and Service Partner Meeting in Gescher-Hochmoor, Germany that ran from October 30 – October 31, 2013. 

With its 63 m working height, the T 630 perfectly complements the other work platforms in the 50 m – 70 m range which the German manufacturer introduced just a few months ago. The maximum lateral reach on the T 630 is a generous 39 m. As with the other models in the HEIGHT performance-series, the greatest customer benefit is the incredible reach capacity when working up high.

The STEIGER ® T 630 provides 5 metres of additional reach compared to previous work platforms in the 58 m working height range.

It is also interesting to note that the overall length of the new STEIGER ® T 630 is a compact 11.9 metres. It can therefore be driven on all roads throughout Europe without special permits or exemptions. This innovative new work platform is mounted onto a 4-axle truck with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 32 tons.

The T 630 has all of the other technical features that have made the HEIGHT performance-series so popular. These include the 20 m long upper boom with its movable jib (RÜSSEL ®), the largest telescopic working cage in its category, and optional Lift-Up system for heavy and bulky items. The outriggers can be controlled from four different locations. In addition to the main control panel in the working cage, there is an auxiliary control panel on the chassis and two more control units at the rear of the vehicle. Models in the HEIGHT performance-series can be mounted on a great variety of chassis brands. Carrying out assignments below the surface is not a problem for any of these extremely versatile and innovative models.

With the T 630, RUTHMANN has once again demonstrated its steel fabrication know-how. The boom system is made of high tech, fine-grained steel. It is multi-bevelled for maximum performance, stability, and rigidity at the job site.

This prototype will be used as a demonstration model. In the weeks and months ahead, RUTHMANN will be introducing the brand new STEIGER ® T 630 to customers and interested parties in Germany and around the world.
