STEYR® set to show latest tractor and technology developments at Agraria 2022

First showing in Austria of new 6280 Absolut CVT / National debut for new loader range / S-Tech Protect combines multiple areas of service support / Display of oldtimer ‘Type 180’, one of the first STEYR models produced, marks 75 years since production of first STEYR^® tractor /

STEYR^® will celebrate 75 years of tractor production at Agraria 2022, Austria’s premier agricultural machinery exhibition, with the Austrian market preview of the new 280hp 6280 Absolut CVT flagship for its Absolut CVT tractor range, the launch of a new tractor support package, and the display of a Type 180, one of the very first STEYR tractors from 1947. STEYR can be found on Stand 30 in Hall 20 of Agraria, from Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 November at Messe Wels, Upper Austria. The STEYR stand will include tractors spanning its entire range for municipal and forestry operations and for livestock and arable farming, from the 65hp 4065 Kompakt S and 4120 Kompakt HiLo HD, through the 4120 Multi and 4140 Expert CVT with new S3920T loader, to the 6175 Impuls CVT, all-new 6280 Absolut CVT and the flagship 313hp 6300 Terrus CVT. In addition, STEYR’s forestry expertise will be represented by a 4120 Expert Forst, and the brand’s anniversary will be marked by a Type 180 from 1947. Visitors will also be able to learn more about new S-Tech Protect support.

Austrian market debut for new Absolut CVT flagship

The 6280 Absolut CVT, a new 280hp range flagship that introduces significant upgrades over existing Absolut CVT models, makes its Austrian market debut at Agraria. Characterised by refreshed STEYR styling with new high-power LED lights, its introduction heralds new model numbering, with the last three digits indicating maximum unboosted horsepower. When compared with the larger Terrus CVT models, the new 6280 Absolut CVT provides an alternative for those seeking a compact package offering more power without additional weight. New efficiency features range from a larger fuel tank to customisable CVT transmission features which allow operators to adjust, save and recall settings according to preferences and application requirements. Further CVT improvements include enhanced acceleration/deceleration behaviour, better shuttle response and greater sensitivity for both the drive pedal and the Multicontroller, with position detection for the latter also improved. Cruise control can now be overridden via a new drive pedal that provides enhanced precision and control. Comfort is boosted by Advanced Vehicle Suspension, synchronising front axle and cab suspension and rear linkage damping to minimise shock transfer. A new cab design boosts interior space by 8%, while upgrades including automotive-style interior materials help cut noise to an industry-leading 66dB.

New service support package

STEYR Terrus CVT owners now have a new way to insure their businesses against unexpected and unforeseen machine downtime, with the introduction of STEYR S-Tech Protect, which blends workshop, field and remote services. The STEYR extended warranty is available as an option up to five years/6,000hrs and depending on model and market can be standard for 3 years. With this service there is no unexpected repair cost, and this also improves resale value. Features range from remote diagnostic tools to operator training and 24/7 Premium Service.

Upgrades for Impuls CVT, Profi CVT, Profi S-Control 8 and Expert CVT tractors

Represented at Agraria by a 6175 Impuls CVT model, the STEYR Impuls CVT range, along with the Profi CVT and Profi S-Control 8 lines, have also been upgraded for 2023. They feature a new S-Tech 700 Plus touchscreen control terminal with aluminium casing and 35% larger tablet-type 12.1in touchscreen with enhanced vision and monitor rail or armrest mounting. Memory storage is up from 256MB to 16GB. A new STEYR 392 correction signal receiver is available for these tractors, offering faster initialization.

Meanwhile, STEYR Expert 4100 CVT, 4110 CVT, 4120 CVT and 4130 CVT tractors have been replaced by the new Expert 4110 CVT, 4120 CVT, 4130 CVT and 4140 CVT for 2023, with the final three figures in the new model numbers describing the maximum horsepower. The engines and relative power outputs remain unchanged. Operating upgrades include a new S-Tech 700 Plus control terminal with 12-inch anti-fingerprint and anti-glare touchscreen including higher-resolution graphics. Other cab improvements include enhanced trim quality, a new monitor rail, a cooled storage compartment, leather steering wheel and improved CVT customization, allowing operators to adjust, save and recall vehicle behaviour according to personal preferences and application requirements.

S3920T loader on STEYR 4140 Expert CVT represents new loader range

The STEYR Expert tractor range will be represented by a 4140 Expert CVT, fitted with a self-levelling S3920T model from the recently-introduced ‘S’ range of STEYR loaders, which comprises 20 models across two series. This loader features hydraulic self-levelling, SHOCK Eliminator^® and an automatic FITLOCK 2+ System^® for easy mounting/dismounting.
