Superior Displays Material Shedding Moxie® Idler Rolls at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014

Superior Industries, Inc., a major U.S. manufacturer of conveyor systems and their related components, displayed its line of material shedding conveyor idlers at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014. Known as Moxie rolls, the specially formulated material manufactured into these rolls sheds sticky material reducing maintenance and belt tracking concerns.

In addition, says Superior, Moxie rolls resist rust in corrosive environments where steel idlers commonly wear out prematurely. These material producers can also upgrade to stainless steel idler shafts and frames for extra defense in corrosive conditions.

Factory tests also revealed Moxie rolls are as much as three times quitter than steel, which can generate a constant clanking sound when contacting mechanical belt fasteners.

Moxie rolls weigh up to 45% less than similar sizes steel idlers, are available in CEMA C and D classes and are available for belt widths up to 72-inches.
