Superior Unveils New Extended Life Chevron® Pulley at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014

Superior Industries, Inc., a major U.S. manufacturer of conveyor systems and their related components, unveiled a new, extended life model to its popular line of Chevron Pulleys at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014. Manufactured with special abrasion resistant wing caps, this heavy-duty model will endure in high wear, rough applications significantly longer than traditional steel wing pulleys.

Featuring a v-shape design, Chevron Pulleys deflect fugitive material preventing it from trapping between the pulley’s wings. Over time, trapped material punctures belting and causes wings to bend. In addition, because of constant contact between the pulley and the belting, belt flapping is reduced and noise generation is cut by 50 decibels.

Superior’s new abrasion resistant model Chevron Pulley is available in mine and super duty designs; diameters of 12-42 inches (304mm – 1066mm); and face widths of 12-75 inches (304mm – 1905mm).
