Marking more than 25 years of steady growth and confidence in the Genie® brand, Swedish aerial work platform and mast climber rental specialists Kranpunkten AB has received delivery of 30 Genie electric scissor lifts in March 2017. Comprised of Genie GS™-3246 and Genie GS-4047 models, the delivery also included the Genie GS-4069 DC that features outriggers and rough terrain tyres.

Offering maximum working heights from 11.50 m (38 ft) to 14.12 m (46 ft 3 in), maximum lift capacities from 318 kg (700 lbs) to 363 kg (800 lb) and gradeabilities from 25 to 35 percent, the machines also feature the Genie diagnostics and troubleshooting SmartLink™ Control System.

“According to our experience, we can definitely say that Genie scissor lifts stand up to their reputation for reliability and excellent re-sale value. For us, their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is one of the best in the market,” says Rikard Jönsson, Purchase Manager, Kranpunkten AB.

He continues: “This, of course, implies keeping machines maintained correctly, which is why our skilled team receives all the right training from Genie on a regular basis. And focusing on uptime, the SmartLink Control System is an excellent feature. By allowing our technicians to solve the most difficult troubleshooting by interacting directly on the unit from the ground controls without any additional tools, this helps keep our machines up and running smoothly.”

For Thomas Andersson, Genie Regional Sales Manager for Sweden and the Baltics, “Kranpunkten has grown into a strong and highly skilled and experienced rental business that we are very proud to have served as a supplier and partner for so many years. For Kranpunkten, the sky’s the limit! We look forward to continuing to support them in the years ahead and helping to take their success higher.”

Operating nationwide with more than 85 members of staff from branches in Förslöv, Uppsala, Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö, this new delivery expands the Kranpunkten fleet to some 2,700 mobile access units.
