At Bauma 2016, BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH presents a new generation of quickassembly cranes from BKL System Cattaneo in the 28 and 33 metre categories. The tried and tested CM 280 and CM 82S4 crane types have been refined and are now setting new standards in the bottomslewing crane sector with increased lifting capacity and higher handling performance. In the field of transports, a new steerable high speed axle offers even more mobility for BKL System Cattaneo's seven crane types.

"We are more than just crane sellers and lessors, we are also service providers. That's why we always keep our machines up to date in all fields. This is especially true for our BKL System Cattaneo which we are continually developing in line with the market requirements in collaboration with the manufacturer," says Alexander Volz, owner and managing director of BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH.

The result is three new innovations at once, which the crane specialist with its headquarters near Munich is presenting at Bauma 2016 in the field of bottom-slewing cranes. The new generation of products for the crane type, which have long since proven its worth in the BKL crane fleet, convince in their size categories with new, improved performance parameters:

CM 82S4: Top of the 33 metre category with a 4 tonne maximum lifting capacity

The refined variants of the stationary 33 metre quick-assembly crane now lift up to 4 tonnes and scores points with a particularly high handling performance thanks to the pure 2-fall operation. The CM 82S4 offers a maximum hook height of 21 metres and 1 tonne peak load. The machine has a space requirement of just 5.1 by 5.1 metres and, like all models, is equipped with a frequency-controlled 4-stage lifting mechanism.

CM 280: One of the highest performance cranes in the 28 metre category

The CM 280 steps up with unexpected strength: at 28 metres the tried and tested quick-assembly model offers additional radius and lifts 2.5 tonnes to 12.1 metre, along with a peak load of 900 kilogrammes – and all in pure 2-fall operation. The smallest stationary crane in BKL System Cattaneo is on display at the BKL Baukran Logistik company premises at the A94 on Römerstraße 22 in Forstinning, only around 16 kilometres from the trade fair in Munich. Interested parties can view and try out the crane there by appointment.

New steerable high speed axle

BKL Baukran Logistik is also presenting a new generation of products in the field of transports. The highspeed axle is now also available in steerable variants. It will be presented at Bauma with the CM 271 mobile 27 metre crane, but is also available for the stationary cranes in BKL System Cattaneo as a semi-trailer version. The 80 km/h axle is self-steering during road use and, during shunting operations, can be electrohydraulically steered via the remote control. In combination with the slewing ring steering, the under carriage achieves supreme manoeuvrability through to crab steering.

BKL Baukran Logistik at Bauma:

The new crane solutions, as well as a presentation of the mobile crane and service offering from BKL Baukran Logistik can be viewed from 11 to 17 April in the outdoor area to the south of Bauma 2016 at Stand FS11 1103/1. As in 2013, BKL Baukran Logistik will be exhibiting together with a partner from the topslewing crane segment, the Spanish crane manufacturer Linden Comansa, at a joint stand. The crane specialist thus underlines its business strategy which is oriented towards the customer's needs. The company offers manufacturerindependent advice in the sale and rental of construction cranes and, with its broadly diversified mobile crane fleet and its own lorries with loading cranes, fully implements almost any project. BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH will be represented at Bauma for the thirteenth time this year.
