BYD Draws Closer to South Africa at the 18th Annual Power & Electricity World Africa

BYD Co. Ltd. is exhibiting its breakthroughs at the 18th Annual Power & Electricity World Africa 2015, taking place on March 24-25 in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is Africa’s largest and most influential power and energy exhibition, and counts on the presence of all major players in the energy sector, so that attendance to the venue expresses a significant clout in the industry. The company has chosen the event to launch the MINI ES – yet another solution to incorporate its Solar Energy Ecosystem.

The MINI ES is a mid-sized, user-friendly energy storage system for the household, consisting of a switch- controlled battery system. It can also monitor battery status from a mobile device. Another inviting advantage of the MINI ES is its extremely low maintenance requirements. The system offers an invaluable clean energy solution for home users, furthering emission cuts, and bringing the company closer to its environmental ideals.

This is the third year BYD exhibits its innovations at the event, and it ensues some of the company’s assertive moves in the country, chiefly its local partnership to establish an OEM PV Module production unit, whose first batch of Modules was successfully delivered in October 2014, signaling to strengthened supply chain by quickening worldwide delivery; and a cooperation agreement with the South Africa National Power Company on a demonstration and testing project, resulting in the successful delivery of the first Containerized Storage System to Johannesburg in February, 2015.
