The purchase of a forklift truck is only a small part of the total cost of ownership (TCO, Total Cost of Ownership) of the machinery. Servicedriver cost and fuel are important components to assess when evaluating such an investment.

For these reasons Carer always strives to offer materials handling solutions that can ensure effective energy savings without compromising performances, or the autonomy of the truck. A commitment that has made Carer one of the few companies in the world able to provide optimal solutions even for extremely heavy loads with electric forklift trucks.

In addition to the clear advantages in terms of elimination of emissionsattention to the environmentreduction of vibrations and improvement of the quality of the work place,Carer electric forklift trucks are also an opportunity for significantly saving in terms of energy costs.

A concrete example: two 60 tons diesel forklift trucks consume about 7 liters of fuel per hour each and require a total daily fuel costs of € 147,82 (assuming an eight-hour shift and a fuel cost of 1,40 €/liter).

Two equivalent electric forklift trucks (Carer F60H) can perform an eight-hour shift with a single battery charge (152 kW). With an energy cost of 0,15 €/kW the total daily energy expenditure equivalent to € 45,60, allowing savings of € 102,22 in a single day. A cost saving which, multiplied by 220 working days, exceeds € 22.400 per year and, in five years, reaches € 112.400.
