Delta-Q Technologies’ IC650 Industrial Battery Charger makes international aerial work platform debut at APEX 2014

Delta-Q Technologies will be introducing its new IC650TM Industrial Battery Charger to the international aerial work platform (AWP) market at APEX 2014 in Amsterdam.

The company will exhibit at stand 150 from 24-26 June 2014. Leading parts distributor TVH will also be displaying the IC650 Charger at stand 420.
The IC650 Charger is a 650 watt industrial battery charger designed and tested to meet automotive levels of product reliability, and is offered in 24V, 36V and 48V models. It features innovations that benefit the flexibility and performance of battery-powered scissor lifts.
Designed using an IP66-sealed die cast enclosure, the IC650 Charger can tolerate factors that can damage on-board chargers, such as water and chemicals, dirt, vibration and shock. Delta-Q’s latest innovation—a sealed IEC320 AC power cable—allows even the AC inlet to be sealed to an IP66 rating, improving charging system reliability.

The IC650 Charger is usable on any single phase electrical grid in the world with an AC operating range of 85-270 VAC. Pre-loaded with up to 25 charging profiles validated in Delta-Q’s battery lab, the IC650 Charger can provide a tailored charge to different types of lead acid (flooded, AGM, GEL) and lithium ion batteries, maximizing battery life and machine performance. With 93.5% peak efficiency, the IC650 Charger will save electricity costs for the end user.

Featuring a USB host port, the IC650 Charger’s software and pre-loaded charge profiles can be updated using a USB flash drive. This feature enables the charger to adapt to future software improvements or new battery types. Simultaneously, charge cycle data will be downloaded for analysis.
The IC650 Charger has the option for CAN bus communication. Charge status information can be displayed on a lift’s dashboard or the charger can be controlled via a battery management system—useful for safe charging of lithium batteries. Delta-Q has also added manufacturer specific parameters to allow greater control and monitoring by external systems.
