Euro Auctions Expands into the USA

Dromore, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, (19 October 2012) – Euro Auctions, the UK’s largest auctioneers of construction machinery and industrial equipment, announces its continued global expansion with the acquisition of a new auction site in Newnan, near Atlanta, Georgia, USA, just one year after the opening of its previously new auction site in Brisbane, Australia.

Euro Auctions has a acquired the freehold of a 65 acre site that was formally home to the ADESA Atlanta Truck & Equipment Auction Facility at 300 Raymond Hill Rd, Newnan, Georgia 30265. Approximately 60 of the sites total 65 acres is hard paved, making the facility perfect for presenting large quantities of construction machines and industrial equipment for auction.

With an elevated position and rolling topography, the site runs parallel to Interstate 85, with access via Exit 51 at the Sharpsburg - McCollum Road turning.  With an incredible boundary of 4,600 ft fronting directly onto the Interstate and just over 2,800 ft of additional frontage on Raymond Hill, this site is highly visible to passing traffic and will prove to be a great benefit when drawing attention to sale days and upcoming events.

Having remained vacant for five years, Euro Auctions is delighted to have acquired the property believing that the new home of Euro Auctions in Atlanta will prove popular with buyers and sellers alike worldwide. The excellent onsite facilities include: the main drive through auction hall; ample office accommodation; a check-in and sale day administration building; cafeterias; as well as two preparation and spray workshops where Euro Auctions staff can prepare equipment and machinery for sale. In all the onsite accommodation equates to approximately 52,500 sq feet.

During the last 10 years Euro Auctions has forged excellent trade links and built relationships with major players in the USA equipment and machinery markets. Euro Auctions also has a large number of existing customers from North America, as well as excellent relationships with many of the equipment and machinery companies that are located in this area of South East USA. The addition of this site will enable Euro Auctions to further service the needs of existing customers in today’s global construction equipment and machinery market, whilst creating new relationships with buyers and sellers across the USA.
