To benefit community service programs in the region, Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) has teamed up with Lake County International (LCI) and Manitou Americas to give away a 2015 Gehl skid loader worth nearly $39,000.

The promotion kicked off Monday with 500 tickets available for $100 each. All funds raised by the skid loader contest will be donated to IAUW.
The income "will be a huge boost to the United Way," said IAUW President Rob Buchholtz. "We are very grateful to Lake County International and Gehl for their generous contribution. These two businesses continue to recognize the importance of United Way and the programs we support."
IAUW serves more than 35 nonprofit agencies in Lake, Miner and Moody counties, with their goal being to create long-lasting changes by focusing on the building blocks for a good life: education, income and health.
The drawing will be held on Oct. 1, and the winner will be awarded a 2015 Gehl R135 skid loader.
The loader is equipped with an air suspension seat, rollover protection system, seat belt and bar, full cab enclosure with heat and defrost and an engine block heater. It also features 10.00x16.5 tires and a 60-inch bucket with bolt on edge. As equipped, the machine is worth $38,871.
Contest tickets can be purchased at Lake County International, KJAM Radio and any financial institution in Madison. Tickets may also be purchased at www.interlakesunitedway.org.
"We are excited to have this opportunity," said Jeff Bloom, LCI co-owner.
Bloom said that Madison benefits from the United Way, and by buying tickets, people can give back to their community. "They're the winners," he said.
Dustin Williams, plant manager of the Madison Manitou plant, said, "We're pleased to be able to partner with LCI."
He said LCI always has creative and generous ideas for helping the community. "We're grateful they asked us to be a part of it."
