Going one better: BF 300-2 asphalt paver with more extras and less exhaust gases

BOMAG has re-engineered its city pavers. The BF 300-2's new engine now meets the Tier IV / Stage 3B emission standard. In addition, the asphalt pavers, which are built for urban road construction, now have an optional hydraulically controlled front flap, which makes completely emptying the hopper faster and easier. BOMAG also offers useful extras such as LED headlamps or balloon lighting as additional equipment for the BF 300-2.

The new version of the BF 300-2 BOMAG city paver will be available from January 2016. With its environmentally friendly Tier IV / Stage 3B engine, it is well equipped to meet the most stringent emission standards. In addition, there is a version with a Tier III engine. The BF300-2 is optionally supplied with a wheel drive (BF 300 P-2) or a chain drive (BF 300 C-2). With a laying capacity of 300 t per hour and a maximum laying width of 5 m (chain) or 4.40 m (wheel), it is extremely versatile. The paver is particularly suited to inner-city road reconstruction, but rural road construction or hard shoulder restoration in motorway construction are also typical areas of application.

A breath of fresh air: Ventilation system and other new extras

One optional extra for the BF 300-2 is the hydraulic front flap of the hopper. Another option is the ventilation system. It sucks up the asphalt fumes directly above the auger and diverts them to above the paver roof. This is both a clean and comfortable solution for drivers and screed operators.

Optional LED headlights make for good vision even under adverse lighting conditions. For illuminating the area around the paver without glare during night shifts, the "Power Moon" is indispensable. The optional balloon light turns night into day.

Trust in proven technology

Like all BOMAG asphalt pavers, the BF 300-2 naturally comes equipped with Magmalife screed heating. The heating rods, which are directly cast into one aluminium block, take only 20 minutes to heat up due to the metal's high conductivity, making them some 60% faster than the screed heating on comparable machines on the market. The aluminium block optimally protects the heating elements at the same time.

The Ecomode regulates the hydraulics, engine speed and ventilation down as required, which saves fuel and reduces noise. Experience shows that 80% of daily work can be conducted in Ecomode, but full power can be activated whenever necessary.

The screed extension works quickly and easily with the BOMAG Quick Coupling attachment system. This reduces retooling times by up to 50%.
