HARDI will show on the Agritechnica 2015 the MEGA a new lift-mounted sprayer which follows a complete new design concept.

As in all sprayer segments also lift-mounted sprayers get bigger and bigger and in modern application they have to do a far bigger area per unit as 15 years ago. But still lift-mounted sprayers are mainly used on smaller fields and in hilly conditions, where they have the advantage of a good and fast manoeuvrability and easier driving on side hills. Tractor sizes has been increased in the last years, which on one side gives the chance to carry bigger sprayers and on the other side the demand on the coupling dimensions has be increased as well. Big lift-mounted are today often combined with front tank solutions, as a front weight is anyhow demanded, but farmers also like to have the possibly to increase the tank capacity later by adding a front tank.

New design concept and up to 2200 l tank volume

In the development process it was important to build a big capacity tank as possible and also focus on a good centre of gravity close to the tractor. On the MEGA this goal is reached by utilising the space between sprayer and tractor cabin for the RinseTank.

The biggest polyethylene tank of the MEGA has a nominal volume of 2200 l which brings the sprayer in a class of its own.

Large side covers keeps everything clean, so no mud from big tractor wheels will disturb the functionality.

Also the coupling system is integrated and made in that way that the sprayer can easy be hook on the tractor of course with coupling category 3.

New fluid system

The new MEGA fluid system is designed for the manual, remote and automatic control. The Front Tank operation is a build in feature. In spraying position the fluid system is completely covered, in filling with the cover open there are a safety locker and work table integrated in the door.

Multi-functional vales make the operation easy and safe. Also the well-known fast DF4 regulation system is standard on the MEGA.

New boom lift and boom up to 28 metres

A new heavy-duty boom lift with an adjusting range of 160 cm allows a fast and accurate adjustment of the working height.

The MEGA will be available with the vertically folded PRO VP booms from 20 to 28 metres. The booms are constructed in steel with a lattice design optimizing weight with the greatest possible strength. The boom has been redesigned with focus on strength and reliability. An anti-yaw device is incorporated into the boom centre to minimise any movement of the boom. The excellent performance of the VP boom ensures precision spray applications even in the most challenging of field conditions.

All boom functions on the boom can be electro–hydraulically operated; the functions used in the field can be controlled by the well-known HARDI Grip.
