High Power Density and Longer Component Life Drive Comatrol’s New HSV High Pressure Solenoid Valve Platform

Higher pressures, like 350 bar, allow machine designers to use smaller cylinders and motors on their vehicles, making them more compact and lighter weight. With the trends in the market for higher power density, Comatrol will be introducing its new platform of high pressure solenoid valves - HSV - at the bauma 2013 exhibition.

In addition to high power density, customers can apply these new high pressure valves at lower pressure like 210 bar, and expect a longer component life as compared to the more standard solenoid valves rated for 210 bar. There are many applications where servicing products are a challenge, so applying longer life components makes sense.

The high pressure solenoid valve initial launch will include 2-way poppet and spool designs in a standard 10 size cavity; and 12, 16 20 size cavity poppet designs. All these solenoid valves will be 350 bar capable and featuring optimized high flow capacity for their respective sizes.

Additional high pressure products, including 3-way and 4-way 10 size solenoid valves and numerous mechanical cartridge valves, will be introduced throughout 2013. The new platform of product will create a strong portfolio of 350 bar products to fulfill market demand for higher pressure applications.
