Keycast Group investing in a new production plant in Ljungby

In 2014 a new production plant is due to open in Ljungby, Sweden. The Keycast Group is investing in state-of-the-art production technology with building work due to begin shortly. "In order to compete successfully on the international market we need to optimise all parts of our operation," explains Fredrik Ivansson, CEO for the Keycast Group.

Keycast and its subsidiary Combi Wear Parts has had its foundry production in Ljungby for many years. The company is now cementing its position in the town by building a new, top modern foundry. But it does not stop there.

"With the building of the new production plant, our subsidiary is taking the opportunity to invest in two new melting furnaces for the existing foundry," continues Fredrik Ivansson.

The mining industry is vital
Combi Wear Parts is one of the world leading companies of patented Ground Engaging Tools in the construction, mining and dredging industries, a business area that will continue to expand.

"We have great expectations that the mining industry will continue to grow," says Fredrik Ivansson. "This upgrade of our capacity will enable us to maintain our flexibility and efficiency with a wider product range along with increased demands."

Doubled capacity will give a real lift to the total Keycast Group and its customers
The investment will lead to doubling the capacity with focus on efficiency and flexibility. An absolute must in what is a keenly competitive business.

"We're giving the whole Keycast Group new dimensions and possibilities. All our companies will now be able to develop their business areas with both existing and new customers. To use a sports metaphor, we strengthen and broaden our team with new skills. We're simply modernising our foundry group, thus paving the way for innovation using state-of-the-art technology. It's a win-win situation for everybody. This is a great day, for both the Keycast Group and Ljungby," concludes Fredrik Ivansson.
