Ålö continuously extending its product range on implements for Telescopic Handlers and Wheel Loaders

New Implements: Powergrab XL, XHV Bucket and Multishear Bucket

New optional Equipment: Telehandler Tool Carrier

In early 2015, Ålö launched an extended product program of implements aimed for the telehandler and wheel loader market. Produced for use in agriculture, light construction and waste handling, the new program entails several types of implements and are sold under Ålö’s “Original ImplementsTM” brand.

By extending our range of implements to also cover other types of load carriers such as wheel loaders and telescopic handlers, we can benefit from our already strong sales channels”, says Urban Hadarsson, Director of Product Management & Assortment Strategy at Ålö.

The following innovations will be shown at the Agritechnica.

Powergrab XL

The Powergrab XL is the ideal implement for grabbing and handling silage, specifically for the use with 3 – 5 tons lift capacity loaders. The Powergrab XL benefits from hardened steel shell which lowered the weight to strength ratio. The bolt on cutting edge is 500 HB with easy to change countersunk bolts allowing a clean internal shell. This prevents contamination between handling different materials.

The inside of the bucket contains a rounded back insert. This creates a sealed hollow section in the rear of the bucket improving torsional stiffness whilst improving the shape for easy ejection of material. The bucket is mounted with bolt on hooks that provide flexibility for the end user as well as stock flexibility. The top of the bucket contains an integral spill guard preventing material spilling over onto the carrier machine.

The Powergrab XL will be part of a new edition of several implements available from February 2016.

XHV Bucket

In order to optimize the lift capacity of fixed beam loading shovels this high volume tipping bucket is perfect for machines with a capacity from 1 ton to 5 tons. The clean shell bucket design stops buildup of material whilst handling and therefore prevent cross contamination between materials. The cylinders are fitted with end dampening that reduces noise when the bucket is closed and also reduces wear of pins by reducing speed at cylinders end points. The design of the rear frame is open so that buildup of cereals falls between parts and therefore reduces unwanted spillage whilst in transit.

The XHV bucket will be part of a new edition of several implements available from February 2016.

Multishear Bucket

The Multishear bucket is capable of many tasks involved with feeding. The design of the shear grab is such that the finish of the pit is very clean preventing air from entering the silage. The large opening of the grab makes it possible to grab a complete round bale up to 145cm in diameter. When the grab is closed this creates a completely enclosed unit which is perfect for concentrates such as pulp and other loose material. The Multishear is fitted with a Bolt-on solution for Hooks for convenience and flexibility.

Telehandler Tool Carrier

Intended specifically to meet the requirements of customers who rely on a loader as a back up to their main material handler. Or for the users that use their loader where Telehandler hooks are used on bale handling equipment and other implements that suit the capacity of the loader. The Tool Carrier is designed around the roll back angles possible with a Dimension series loader to fit the size from Q66 – Q98, or T+7.1P - T+8.3P. There are six Tool Carriers that are possible; Claas Scorpion, JCB Qfit, Merlo ZM2, Manitou MLT, Matbro P&C, and Volvo BM.

Production milestone – celebrate with us!

The 250 000th front loader recently left the production line at our main loader plant, which was set up for the Dimension/Plus series in 2005 close to Umeå, Sweden. To commemorate this important step in Ålö’s history, we celebrate it by offering a limited Black Loader Edition of 250 loader packages. Also worth knowing: Ålö has, from the start 1947 up until today, delivered over 1,1 million front loaders.
