New Holland Construction, a member of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), participated in NALP’s annual Renewal & Remembrance event at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, July 20, 2015.
Every July, hundreds of landscape and lawn care professionals travel from across the nation to Arlington National Cemetery to participate in Renewal & Remembrance. They volunteer their time mulching, upgrading sprinklers, cabling and installing lighting protection for the trees, pruning, planting, liming, and aerating the soil. This year, as a returning Platinum sponsor, New Holland Construction sent a team of ten volunteers to Arlington National Cemetery to participate alongside other NALP members.
“It is inspiring to see so many people banding together for a worthy cause,” said Todd Debock, New Holland’s Pro Work Tools Segment Leader. “The New Holland team was privileged to participate in is such an important event which allowed us to show our respect for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.”
NALP members were also joined by members of the Professional Ground Management Society, the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance, and teams from corporate sponsors within the landscape and construction industry.
“Our members look forward to this opportunity each year to give back to the individuals who made personal sacrifices for their country,” said Sabeena Hickman, CAE, National Association of Landscape Professionals CEO. “We consider it a privilege to be able to volunteer our time and talents to improve the health and beauty of the grounds at Arlington National Cemetery, one of our nation’s most sacred places.”
