Van der Vlist recently arranged the transport, handling and assembly of a brand new hydrostatic port crane. First the crane was transported in parts from Germany to the Van der Vlist Terminal at Moerdijk. After the arrival of all the parts, assembly was taken care of by a dedicated and experienced team of Van der Vlist technicians. Once the crane was completely assembled, the finished 93 tonne unit was transported by crane barge to its final destination, the UK port of Dagenham. The crane was placed directly onto rails and immediately ready for port operations: plug and play!
Van der Vlist’s privately-owned terminal at the port of Moerdijk is multipurpose. In addition to port and terminal operations, such as handling and storage of heavy lift and project cargo, our Moerdijk location is also equipped for a wide range of Value Added Logistics: assembly, painting and completely tailor-made solutions are executed on a daily basis.
We are having the power to provide a one stop shop by combining all of our activities: Special & Heavy Transport, Technical Services, Project Management, Port & Terminal Operations, Storage and Logistics.
