Pump P 243 is applicable universally. Thanks to a wide variety of individual combinations of time or cycle settings, the P 243 covers the whole range of control options available in the market.

The fields of application for the P 243 with data logger are mainly rental parks, e. g. for construction and agricultural machinery, for contractors in the agricultural machinery sector, for railroad tamping machines and utility vehicles on construction sites.

The main benefit of the P 243 with data logger is the remote monitoring of the present system condition and history of the course of events. It thus helps to detect insufficient or incorrect maintenance at an early stage and allows for the efficient scheduling of maintenance personnel.  It is possible for the user to assign a password directly to the pump. Up to seven different languages might be accessed in the menu.

 

Time adjustments

 

The P 243’s controller offers time scheduling that follows operating cycles imposed from outside or cycle controls. The lubrication schedule is automatically adjusted with regard to cold or hot ambient temperatures via a temperature sensor. Easy adjustment of simple pause time and operating time controls as well as of monitoring times is possible, for one to three lubrication circuits, also cycle-controlled.

 

Temperature ranges

 

Temperature ranges in which the pump shall be operating can be adjusted between -30 °C and +70 °C. As soon as the temperature falls below the adjusted minimum value, the pump stops and only starts operating again when it rises above the minimum. When exceeding the maximum temperature value, the pump also stops and a fault will be indicated. The pump will then not start automatically again. It has to be restarted by triggering an additional lubrication cycle.

 

Signal outputs to an external customer-specific display or plc

(programmable logic controller)

 

The signal outputs for a low- or high-level signal can be realized as flashing or permanent signals, as normally open or normally closed contacts, or as motor run time. This means they can be adapted to almost any customer requirement.

 

External filler pump

 

The P 243 pump can be filled by an external electrical filler pump. This procedure can be time-controlled during the filling procedure by the P 243’s controller. It can then be switched off automatically when it reaches the high-level signal. To allow this, an external activation valve is required.

 

Monitoring time adjustment of each cycle

 

If the monitoring times of the respective piston detectors cannot be determined clearly in advance, the data logger is in a position to automatically determine and fix the times.

 

Integrated monitoring scheme

 

The monitoring scheme integrated in the data logger can be displayed by means of a notebook computer. It provides the operator or service technician with the presently existing system functions or failure indications. The fault indications are listed in detail and are therefore easy to be analyzed. An additional lubrication can be triggered via the “motor” symbol. System monitoring or triggering and additional lubrication cycle is also possible “online” from an external service station (via PC visit) as soon as the customer connects a notebook to the pump and asks for support. This saves time and cost and helps to get the machine started again quickly.
