Trust comes from experience – ATF 220G-5 is now the 12th TADANO mobile crane at I&H Kran-Transport-Montage-Service

When people listen to Nils Laumann, a member of the Management, speak about his company’s machinery pool, they know immediately: TADANO is the brand in which he trusts. Yet more evidence of this is his investing in the 12th crane in the TADANO pool, an ATF 220G-5. A significant factor for this decision was the performance of the 5-axle crane for I&H’s core business, concrete construction. Of course, the crane operators are also happy with the new look of the driver’s cab, as it provides various new features and maximum comfort. These include: a better panoramic view, ergonomic seats made by Recaro for an optimized seating position to prevent fatigue on long distances and the multifunction touch display which is identical with that in the superstructure cab.

Of course, the mobile crane was put into practice immediately after its delivery at the end of November 2016. The service provider I&H was able to rely on the familiar reliability of the TADANO principle from the start. According to Nils Laumann, one of the special advantages of the TADANO crane is its being equipped with two engines. The new engines made by Mercedes Benz (Euromot IV, EPA Tier 4f) feature a power output of 390 kW (530 HP) for the carrier and 145 kW (197 HP) for the superstructure. In addition to reduced fuel consumption, the separate recording of the operating hours is convincing. This feature enables a clear indication of the amount of crane work and driving accomplished: important arguments for Controlling and for a high resale value.

An argument resulting from the fact that concrete construction is the core business is the rugged boom with a mast length of 13.2 to 68 meters. “At such working heights, we require an especially powerful boom for lifting operations. What is especially important for us are the mechanical strength and the capability of moving the material by crane without the jib,” Nils Laumann states. And for this work, the updated 5-axle crane made by TADANO provides the ideal dimensions.
