A Further Masa AAC Plant put into operation in China

In July 2014 a further Masa AAC plant had been put into operation in Dezhou, Shandong Provinz, P.R. of China. Not only the very high production capacity of daily 1.440 m³ is an awesome target which could be reached successfully, but also the environmentally aware and future-oriented plant conception, which had been coordinated very well between customer and Masa, is very remarkable.

The plant brings the customer high flexibility for the production of AAC blocks. Besides on sand based recipes for the block production, the customer Shandong Changhe Haomen Investment & Real Estate Co., Ltd. can also use recipes based on fly ash.

Furthermore the control of the mixer plant is designed in a way that also mixed recipes between both raw materials can be used in the plant. To realize this technically, two separate raw material machining zones for sand and fly ash had been already considered during the planning and at least during the assembly of the plant. With this solution our customer can reach a higher production flexibility.

A respective preparation was integrated in the plant, because it is not possible to use the available lime or gypsum directly into the production process.

The lime delivered to the site in pieces, will be dry grounded to lime powder and transferred through an integrated transport system into a silo at the mixer.

Besides the recycling product fly ash, also the power station byproduct FGD gypsum will be used in this plant to produce Aerated concrete products, instead of the natural Anhydride. To be able to use the FGD gypsum, a suspension out of FGD gypsum and water will be produced in a separated area. This suspension will be stored into a tank in the mixer area and can be used in the production process when necessary.

Additional energy optimizing, such as the steam transfer between the autoclave and a resource gentle recycling of aerated concrete rests in the production, optimize the China wide unique process flow in the new AAC plant.

The excellent and fair co-operation between the Haomen Group and the Masa GmbH leads to a successful and efficient assembly of the plant. After the completion of the plant new products had been produced, based on common recipe developments.

Besides the commercially available densities, also products with a density of 300 kg/m³ could be manufactured. This set a further milestone on the Chinese market.

The plant enlargement to manufacture reinforced products is already ordered by the customer from Masa GmbH, Germany and will for sure amend the existing product program successfully.
