From just one dealer in 2016, Mecalac North America has grown to 15 and counting in 2020. From Florida to Washington state, and Montreal to Missouri, we have partnered with a variety of well-established equipment houses who recognize the unique attributes of our machines and see opportunity in helping us bring the Mecalac message to the market.
To support them, in July of 2019 we moved into a new 14,000 sf facility in Norfolk MA, just a couple of miles from the New England Patriots’Gillette Stadium. There, we house a dedicated team of distribution, logistics, technical, marketing and administration professionals to nourish and sustain our rapidly-growing dealer network and their customers. We maintain a multi-million-dollar inventory of machines, parts, and attachments to serve our customer base in the US and Canada. We conduct product and service training here, and hold dealer and media events on a regular basis. With direct lines of communication back to our factories in Europe, this wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mecalac Group has a singular focus: bringing the company’s innovative thinking and game-changing products to new markets across North America.
Our diverse staff has over 200 years of combined experience in the construction equipment business, and we are passionate about introducing new concepts and different ways of doing things to the marketplace. Over the next few years, our aim is to complete our North American dealer coverage and grow our organization to support the increased demands that a full-blown national network will entail. Mecalac products deserve to have a knowledgeable, professional team behind them that can train and support our channel partners and end users. So we participate in open houses, on-site demonstrations, and targeted exhibitions to showcase the unique capabilities of these innovative machines. In close collaboration with our factory-based product specialists and demonstrators, we provide real expertise and application knowledge.
Together with our dealers’ familiarity with their local markets and the technical support they can provide, we offer an unbeatable combination of technology, service and know-how across a broad range of applications.
Mecalac innovations such as our standard quick coupler and our patented three-piece boom bring real value to our customers and allow municipalities, utility contractors, landscapers, and other specialty contractors to perform tasks that no other equipment can.
MECALAC FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS, A DEDICATED FINANCING SERVICE FOR MECALAC CUSTOMERS
We recognize the importance of comprehensive financial tools to help our customers integrate our equipment into their businesses. So, in 2017, we created Mecalac Financial Solutions (MFS) in partnership with DLL, a world leader in asset-based financing.
No strangers to the global construction equipment market, DLL has allowed MFS to leverage Mecalac’s international presence and offer a wide range of finance options to dealers and end users alike. With a focus on flexibility, MFS offers capital and operating leases with a variety of term lengths to help customers manage their cash flow and operating costs. Our programs cover new and used equipment for both dealers and end users, and the application process is smooth and responsive.
DLL’s reputation and financial strength has made a big difference in the way we are able to support Mecalac’s growth in North America, and we are constantly looking for new ways to make our products accessible to the market.
Most recently, we have targeted the equipment rental sector with our site dumpers, backhoes, and wheel loaders. Here, financing plays a significant role in helping rental companies large and small add to their fleets without negatively affecting their working capital. Flexibility is key, and MFS works closely with our rental sales rep network to create options that resonate with this specialized market segment. There is a bright future for Mecalac in North America, and Mecalac Financial Solutions will play a big part in it.
