Conti360° Fleet Services expand EU fleet consulting services

Hanover, May 10 2011. Continental is expanding its custom consulting services for international fleets in Europe. Under the management of Thomas Wolf (52), a team of experienced tire and logistics specialists are offering support for haulage companies that have branches and fleets in several European countries. The aim is to secure the economic success of carriers in the increasingly international logistics industry by means of appropriate tire and fleet management.

The consulting activities of the Continental International Fleet Business Truck Tires EMEA team are focused on the assessment of business procedures and cost control. “We always concentrate on efficiency and show solutions that lead to economic success,” explains certified business economist Thomas Wolf. “We have western Europe covered and now we are considering assigning an additional advisor for eastern Europe.” Thomas Wolf knows his business. He has been a valued advisor among international carriers for over ten years. Recently Mr. Wolf gained the support of two regional managers, Ole Winther and Alain Vandamme.

Winther is responsible for consulting services in Scandinavia and the United Kingdom while Vandamme is responsible for Benelux, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Thomas Wolf’s team operates across the EU. The consulting services benefit the markets that are ultimately responsible for the drafting of contracts and the implementation or provision of the agreed services.

Ole Winther (55):Qualified banker, resides in Hadersleben, Denmark. In addition to his work as a member of the management and head of the business department at several banks, he was the executive partner of a trailer hire company with approximately 4,500 semitrailers for over 12 years. Winther holds vast experience in fleet business. Thanks to his work, he knows where the shoe pinches when it comes to financial matters in the transport trade. Winther gained his international orientation through collaboration with transnational transport companies in Denmark, Sweden and Norway and from his own hire companies in Denmark, Poland, Spain and Germany.

Alain Vandamme (49): Worked in international fleet business since 1986. Initially sales manager at Profile Tyrecenter Robert in Zeebrugge, then Eurofleet Key Account Manager for Pan European Fleets at Bandag. Once Bandag was taken over by Bridgestone, Vandamme became responsible for the development of large-fleet business in Europe as Senior Manager Megafleet Business Development.
