Fendt Saaten-Union Field Day is called off for 2016 due to the strained situation in agriculture

The prolonged difficult economic situation in many agricultural enterprises is causing major concern amongst farmers. Responsible for this are the extremely low producer prices for milk, meat and grain, primarily due to the low demand in the Asian region and the Russian embargo.

Since, according to many agricultural experts, the strained economic situation will not improve in the near future, the organisers, Saaten-Union GmbH and AGCO/Fendt, have decided to call off the big Fendt Saaten-Union Field Day in Wadenbrunn near Wurzburg, which was planned for the end of August 2016.

Peter-Josef Paffen, Chairman of the AGCO/Fendt Management Board: “A big field day with the great effort and expenses that are associated with it and 50,000 to 60,000 visitors does not suit today’s difficult times. We are expecting considerable improvement in the situation within the next two years. In a positive environment, we will continue the unique success of the Fendt Field Day in Wadenbrunn in 2018.”
