The second HAMMEL DEMO DAY took place on 9th September 2015 in Bad Salzungen and was again a highlight for our dealers, clients and prospective customers. The latest technologies and the processing of several different materials were at the center of attention.
Wood, waste and metal - HAMMEL shreds every material
In the morning, company HAMMEL presented machines for the shredding of various types of wood such as green waste, waste wood, root stems and pallets at the company’s own composting site.
With the HAMMEL- primary shredder type VB 850 DK root stems and pallets were shredded. The VB 850 DK is particularly suitable for shredding bulky materials and is characterized by its user-friendly handling, mobility through a track system and a high throughput performance.
Next up, we introduced our newly developed primary shredder type VB 450 DK - DUO which worked in connection with the drum screen type HZ 52 and presented another alternative for the processing of wood. Instead of the usual two-shaft system the VB 450 DK - DUO was built with a four-shaft system. The shredded material was fed into the HZ 52 and separated into three fractions.
As another combination we showed the HAMMEL- primary shredder type VB 450 D together with the HZ 16. The input material, in this case green waste, was pre-shredded with the VB 450 D and afterwards screened into two fractions using the HZ 16.
Following this, the newly developed primary shredder VB 750 D with direct drive was presented LIVE in shredding of green waste. The machine is equipped with a C13 diesel engine and the direct transmission of the engine torque is carried out via V-belts. The advantage over conventional drives is the reduced energy consumption.
To conclude all this, company Europe Forestry V.O.F. introduced their Compact Chipper DC 180. The chipper is equipped with a KUBOTA diesel engine and is available both mobile and stationary.
Back at the HAMMEL factory visitors were able to convince them that our primary shredders are not only suitable for wood processing but also for the shredding of waste (done with the primary shredder VB 750 D) and stones (crushed by the primary shredder VB 850 DK). The VB 850 DK is equipped with special stone crushing shafts that pre-shred the material which was then screened with the HZ 52.
In the afternoon, the HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH presented the visitors not only one but two versions of a mobile metal plant.
This time, the first version consisted of the largest mobile primary shredder type VB 1500 DK, a mobile conveyor belt type MFB 800 E and the secondary shredder type HEM 1250 DK. The input material is first shredded with the primary shredder and afterwards impurities are manually sorted out using the MFB 800 E. At the end, the recyclable material will be shredded with the secondary shredder HEM 1250 DK.
The second version of the HAMMEL- metal processing plant was composed of a primary shredder VB 950 DK, the mobile metal screen MMS 150 DK with a return conveyor as well as the mobile eddy current system, a mobile conveyor belt MFB 800 E and the mobile sorting station MSS 1000 E. Like this, it is possible to shred and separate materials such as car bodies and mixed scrap into marketable end products in just one working step.
At the second DEMO DAY our customers were again presented with many opportunities for processing various materials and the whole day was a highlight for everyone involved.
