Hybrid aggregate recycling solutions of RUBBLE MASTER save up to 50% fuel

Austrian aggregate recycling specialist RUBBLE MASTER has recently introduced new models and technical solutions to the market. Patrik Eder, Editor at LECTURA, spoke to Theresa Kubicka, Head of Communications at RUBBLE MASTER, about the company’s presence at bauma 2022, newly launched RM H50X hybrid screen, digital solution RM XSMART and RM Machine-to-Machine Communication leading to fuel savings.

PE: RUBBLE MASTER exhibited at bauma 2022 in October. Have you met your expectations? What are the main advantages of the RM H50X hybrid screen unit that you presented in Munich?

TK: Expectations were exceeded! Extremely positive feedback was received for the presentation of the RM H50X hybrid, because the hybrid screen enables fuel savings of up to 25% in stand-alone operation, and even up to 50% together with a hybrid crusher in the machine train. This environmentally-friendly innovation not only reduces operating costs enormously, but with its numerous new detailed solutions also ensures greater user-friendliness and minimizes unnecessary downtimes.

The fact that a high degree of modularity is very relevant for customers was confirmed once again at bauma. A simple plug & play connection of machines, for example when a crusher drives a screen electrically via cable, is now possible with the RM H50X hybrid. Therefore, the inquiries on the availability of the innovative screening plant were also enormous.

PE: Have you already delivered the first machines to customers?

TK: The RM H50X hybrid is expected to be available to customers in German-speaking countries as early as the first half of 2023.

PE: Fleet management tools are very important performance trackers. What issues does the RM XSMART solve?

TK: To ensure smooth interaction between machine, operator, owner and service personnel, RUBBLE MASTER has developed the digital solution RM XSMART. Operators get an overview of all machines via mobile app or web app. From fleet management to condition monitoring and reporting of production data, the digital assistant supports handling and makes it possible to move a construction site forward as economically, ecologically and safely as possible. However, RM XSMART is not only a monitoring platform, but also offers the possibility to manage the machines. At a glance, the machine owner or the dispatcher gets an overview of which machines are available, which are in service and which are already in use. This makes every day work easier in the long term and saves time and therefore money.

PE: Can you tell us more about the RM Machine-to-Machine Communication?

TK: RM's crushers and screens can be used as stand-alone plants or combined in machine trains. This gives customers more flexibility and considerable fuel savings: If the use of a hybrid plant already brings a fuel reduction of up to 25% compared to a diesel-direct crusher or a hydraulic screen, the combination in a machine train increases the savings even further. The combination of hybrid crusher and hybrid screen saves up to 50% fuel. "We have been electrifying our plants for decades. Now the time is right and we are meeting the needs of customers with our production-ready solutions," Gerald Hanisch is convinced.
