At Logimat 2014, Weflex launches I-Rig, an advanced system that integrates RFID, Mobile and Cloud Computing technology.

I-Rig platform is an APP able to read data from Tag via Smartphone with NFC capabilities.

The App then send these data via web to Irigworld.com and associates them with any additional information or notes being added by the user.

The user is thus able to get immediately useful information from Tag and to manage identified objects for a wide variety of purposes: small inventories, control of authenticity, content acquisition, scheduled maintenance of equipment, object access to the social network .

I-Rig platform is also interesting for companies to support projects that involve end-users directly.

The main objectives are:

- CommerciaI Interaction (ex, to create a discount coupon);

- Interaction with social networks (ex, influence access);

- After sale management (ex, verification engineers working in the field);

- Maintenance (control use of original spare parts);

- Authenticity check (ex. unique Id check to prove originality);

- Combating counterfeiting worldwide (ex. by creating events);

- Geographic tracking of customer (ex. through events by using GEO options);

- Loyalty (ex. through participation in events).

How does it work

The user downloads the app from the Web Store and installs it on a common Smartphone or Tablet with NFC capabilities. He can then have access to a password-protected area on irigworld.com.

The user reads the information or links in the Tag and he can manage or generate events that are automatically sent to I-Rig portal . The data sent to the I-Rig portal create a database  that can be used by the user as a webpage or as a downloadable excel sheet. The events can also be shared through Twitter .

Case Histories

The first I-Rig references:

- Sports equipment:  “ONESD” project, for new sails ​​that incorporate NFC chips, to give more maintenenance resources and achieve informations on the sail usage from customers.

- Luxury: Formia International is an Artistic glass factory in Murano that has used the I-Rig platform to assembling and maintaining a complex artifact created for outdoors  in the Middle East. They are also developing a project to use the I-Rig platform, to check authenticity of the products on a worldwide scale. More information on irigworld.com.

- Merchandising: X-Lovers is a clothing and accessories line, equipped with NFC chips. The goal is to start a new concept: "dress your social network".  Awarded by SMAU Mob App Awards and reviewed on Wired.it More information on x-lovers.it.

- Arts and Collections:  IrigART is a comunity of artist that are using I-Rig platform to add more contents to their artwork, through a tag NFC hidden in it. The value of the project is also to create an authenticity check system thanks to the NFC unique ID. The project started in collaboration with a famous photographer and art critic, Mauro Fiorese.
