Under pressure: Quick Change Tool for mower blades

Changing blades on disc mowers within seconds is now possible with Krone’s new and exclusive Quick Change pressure tool to be introduced at Agritechnica. The Quick Change claws clamp the knife holder's spring plate down, thus exposing the knife pin. Then the operator removes the knife and replaces or reverses it. It's safe, simple and fast. After fitting the new knife, he releases the pressure, which locks the knife in place. The new knife is now ready for use.

The Quick Change technology provides a number of obvious benefits: the tool makes changing knives much faster than the traditional solutions offered by bolt-on knives or quick-attach systems. In addition, the tool requires only very little effort and can significantly cut down set-up times. Ergonomic and easy-to-use, Quick Change can also be applied in the field, if the tractor has a compressor. Last but not least, knives that are easy to change are usually replaced more frequently and hence lead to higher quality cuts and a faster regrowth.
