Your dimension, your material, our solution

Constantly looking for new approaches to 3D printing, WASP puts pellets at the center of additive technology and goes farther with a  revolutionary application able to print the peek pellets.

This year Formnext, which will have the United States as its official partner, is the leading European fair dedicated to all additive manufacturing processes. It is the most tempting opportunity for the Italian company which once again will amaze visitors and professionals at the Frankfurt Exhibition (from 19th to 22nd November).

A real "gem" that will be exhibited at the WASP booth: it is the brand new Delta WASP 2040 TECH, a printer that introduces a new line with a high precision Pellet HD extruder. The absolute novelty of this machine is that thanks to the high temperature of the chamber, entirely insulated and made of stainless steel, it is possible to print peek pellets. The Delta WASP 2040 TECH is the result of WASP’s research in the medical sector and was born to reach the goal of printing implantable prostheses in certified peek at affordable costs. The Italian company is developing the process thanks to the precious collaboration of Dr. Villiam Dallolio, a highly experienced neurosurgeon who guides the choice of materials and processes in the field of medical 3D printing.

Peek pellet printing is undoubtedly a revolutionary application and the impact of this innovation on the entire WASP-printers-line is extraordinary. Now the company can state that any kind of plastic pellet polymer is printable with the machines presented at Formnext.

At the WASP stand, in addition to the Delta WASP 2040 TECH, a Delta WASP 3MT CONCRETE will be mounted. This is another absolute novelty. Thanks to the experience gained in the architectural field by the Italian company, this new machine has optimized the previous LDM system with a certified one which allows to 3D printing large fluid dense materials in a continuous feeding way. The third introduction is the Delta WASP 3MT INDUSTRIAL 4.0 with continuous feeding system and optimized extruder for the 3D printing of totally recycled pellet polymers.

It’s a solution for increasingly advanced medical applications but not only: WASP has identified in the pellet printing the answer to the increasingly essential needs of recycling plastic materials and also to the need of producing furniture tailored pieces. In general Wasp goal is to answer to the real needs of human being, a theme that the company led by Massimo Moretti has always identified in the application of their projects to the following fields: food, home, health, energy, work, culture.

WASP will be at Formnext in Frankfurt from 19th to 22nd November 2019 HALL 11.0 Stand B79
