Over the past months, much is speculated with the booming activities and projects around the New Zealand construction industry and market.

The National Construction Pipeline Report is the annual publication which forecasts the value of building and construction, by region and by type, for the next six years. It covers residential and non-residential projects planned by the government, local government and the private sector.

For those who are looking into statistics of different projects and activities, the 4th National Construction Pipeline Report 2016 – 2021 would be a useful report to review. The other companion report, the Future Demand for Construction Workers, is another great report which look into the different construction professionals involved, the percentage involved and needed.

The web tool of the National Construction Projections enables anyone to search the forecasts for the construction-related occupations, by each of the regions specified in the National Construction Pipeline 2016, to the end of 2021. The web tool is located on http://constructionprojections.mbie.govt.nz.
