COPMA presents the model 1150

The new machine completes the segment of high-performance cranes between 1600 and 1100.SC models for 3-4 axle vehicles.

The project stands out for the combination  of exceptional lifting performances with a compact and modern shape

The weight of the machine was reduced by 10% compared to 1100.SC in its version with integral basement. This result is possible by using special materials, high-strength steels that allow high loading capacity and low masses.

The footprint of the machine increased marginally, this is possible thanks to the use of integrated basement that allows easy mounting, directly on the vehicle without the aid of subframes.

The use of an integral basement allows to have a low overall height with crane installed, a labour saving, and improved stability due to the reduction of the chassis torsion..Regarding the technical features, the crane 1150 belongs to the range with real lifting moment of 95 Tm, has a maximum  horizontal hydraulic outreach 23.80 m with 10 extensions  ,while exceeds 32 m horizontally with 6 extensions jib.The two joints have  the double linkage, in order to make constant the load curve and consequently allows to have maximum lifting capacity in all phases of work.

The hexagonal section of secondary boom has been designed with a geometric shape to increase the resistance capacity and reducing vertical and lateral bending.

A feature unique in our sector, demonstrating a particularly meticulous design, is having the first 2 extension cylinders inside the arm offset of secondary boom, this keeping also the first 2 sections rightly guided in the opposite direction.

This solution provides a greater guide of the booms set, so as to eliminate the lateral flexion, that usually occurs when all arms are upright, especially with many hydraulic extensions as modern cranes are made.

The version with ten extensions has the last 2 cylinders placed inside the hexagonal section of the structure.

The hydraulic extensions are provided with wear pads made of special low-friction material and high mechanical strength, which helps to reduce maintenance time. The secondary boom and integral extensions have a negative angle of movement of 10° and 16° . This feature compensates the flexure of steel structures and provides better control of the load, even in tight spaces.

The 1150 has continuous rotation with a  slewing ring with double gear motors which greatly increases the torque.

The HSE system ensures a rapid opening and closing of the cylinders, because with this system the discharged oil is returned from the bottom side of the next cylinder, inserting it back under pressure. The advantages can be seen in a faster opening of the extensions and consequently reducing the working times

COPMA's ring gears are  composed by two rows of balls, which greatly decreases friction in the rotation and makes the load handling safe and smooth.

Also for the 1150 the Company relies on high quality components; Italian gear motors Brevini, Danish modular electro hydraulic valves Danfoss, Swedish radio control Scanreco, and German winches  Rotzler, while the carpentry, the hydraulic components and commercial materials are rigorously made in Italy.

The 1150 mounts linear pull winches equipped with a device that reduces the maximum range of the winch, safeguarding the extraction arms jacks.

The integral extension has a flow reduction, adjustable separately from the crane. The reduction of the load capacity is adjusted automatically according to the inclination of the arm and load distance, from the axis column, and may change depending on the number of extensions.

The system automatically recognizes the presence of the integral extension and selects it accordingly.

Lifting or sliding the crane boom or the integral extension, the winch maximum capacity decreases depending on their inclination.

For EC market the 1150 is equipped with a stability control system  SIR LOCK.The device operates four working areas, 2 in the front and 2 in the rear (see pictures 1/2 and 3/4) .The stabilizer beams can be widen hydraulically via an auxiliary control valve, which can also operate the stabilizing cylinders and the auxiliary crossbeam through a flow diverter. The 1150 comes with an efficient hydraulic guidance system of stabilizers, which avoids any interference with the accessories or components of the vehicle. The lifting capacity allowed by the system is proportional to the stabilizers enlargement state (Min, Med1, Med2, Max), thanks to the help of a wire encoder.

Each zone can have a different calibration depending on the stability level of the vehicle body.SIR LOCK has a bright display that provides informations related to the machine operation, manages diagnostic functions for possible machine failures, and handles the crane also  for hook, clamshell bucket or grapple, winch and basket.

In case of errors, the Sir Lock system allows to fold   the machine in emergency mode. In this way it is possible to take the crane immediately to the  nearest COPMA service point.

With the creation of this new model, COPMA confirms its reputation of being one of the companies amongst the established leaders in the production of large cranes, characterized by high lifting and resistance performances, without any renounce of lightness and manoeuvrability.
