The Kögel highlight at this year's transport logistic from 9 to 12 May 2017 in Munich will be its Euro Trailer Mega Rail in the atrium at the east entrance. Visitors to Kögel stand 312 in Hall A6 will be able to enjoy the trailer telematics system, known as Kögel Telematics, and the Kögel KTA trailer axle, along with expanded service offerings for everything involving trailers. The after-market experts at the fair booth will also be happy to provide information on the full range of Kögel services, Kögel breakdown assistance and original Kögel spare parts. Kögel customers can also look forward to many attractive trade fair offers in the areas mentioned.

Kögel will be presenting the high-volume semi-trailer, which has been extended by 1.3 metres, in the form of its Euro Trailer Mega Rail with RoRo equipment. This mega semi-trailer has a loading capacity of around 111 m³ and provides space for a total of 37 Euro pallets. It therefore has space for four more pallets than a standard Mega semi-trailer. This offers ecological and economical benefits: up to ten percent fuel savings, up to ten percent lower CO₂ emissions, multimodality and public acceptance. Based on the latest legal requirements in Germany, this extended Mega semi-trailer can also naturally be used in combined traffic.

Kögel Light^plus: an increase in payload

The Kögel Light^plus will be a highlight at the stand. The frame and body, specially optimised for payload and weight, will be exhibited accordingly. The new external frame profile enables the lashing of cargo to the VarioFix perforated steel external frame, even with the optional drop sides. In combination with a lifting roof, the corner posts in the new body are considerably smaller in both the front and rear. This saves on weight and also simplifies loading and unloading from the side.

Kögel trailer axle KTA: the standard for Kögel semi-trailers and quick availability of spare parts

The Kögel trailer axle KTA has been the standard for many models of the Kögel Cargo, Kögel Light^plus, Kögel Cool – PurFerro quality, and Kögel Box product ranges along with various chassis since the beginning of April. The Kögel KTA trailer axle features a sophisticated concept: Two U-bolts provide secure clamping of the trailing arm and axle. The axle tube is enclosed by the trailing arm at the top, and the axle spring seats at the bottom. To facilitate easy repair, the trailing arm and the axle tube can be replaced separately. All KTA spare parts are available from Kögel Parts, the online spare parts catalogue and in the new "Kögel Parts" spare parts shop at Boschstrasse 25, 89079 Ulm.

Kögel Telematics App: access to all important vehicle data at all times

In the form of trailer telematics, Kögel is placing its bets on its own system, which is specially designed for Kögel semi-trailers. Kögel customers profit from an ultra-modern trailer telematics system that provides real-time access to tracking, refrigeration, trailer and EBS data via a clear, self-explanatory and intuitive Kögel web portal. The Kögel telematics app now offers a brand new benefit: this data can now be easily accessed on an iPhone or iPad. The new Kögel telematics app is now available at no cost from the Apple app store. An Android version of the app will soon be available as well.

Full service offer

Kögel has also revised its full service offer for the transport logistic fair. Kögel will offer its customers in many European countries an optimum full-service solution tailored to Kögel trailers in the form of its BasicService and ProService packages, which are available as options to companies in the forwarding industry.
