See the next generation VAC4 on show in Birmingham

We will be exhibiting the next generation of our Vehicle Asset Communicator® – the VAC4 – on Stand D48 at this year’s Health and Safety Event at the NEC (24th – 26th March). This new, versatile, easy-to-implement product offers a cellular communication option, removing the need for IT involvement and costly infrastructure hardware. It also comes in a Wi-Fi version, which can be either locally or remotely hosted.

In addition to providing the tried and trusted benefits of I.D. Systems’ patented wireless technology— improved safety practices, greater fleet utilisation,  increased productivity and lower operating costs —the VAC4 significantly reduces system deployment costs. It can be easily installed in as little as one hour per vehicle, and has a host of new features that enhance functionality and operator experience. With data being wirelessly communicated over a public network, there is no need for wireless infrastructure in the plant or warehouse - wherever there is a mobile phone connection, the VAC4 will communicate with I.D. Systems’ remotely hosted application.

Other advantages of the new cellular system include the ability to track trucks that are in transit or being serviced at your service partner’s facility, through embedded GPS location tracking. “We are continually striving to develop the safest and most convenient fleet management solutions,” said Alexander Glasmacher, I.D. Systems’ Managing Director EMEA. “Alongside Wi-Fi and 868 MHz capabilities, the new cellular option for the VAC4 represents a further step forward in meeting our customer requirements, service levels and technical support.”

A further focus will be on the ZoneSpeed product, which ensures appropriate speed and therefore safer operation in danger zones such as crossings, aisle exits, ramps and areas where pedestrians may be present.
