Versatile Slide Tray Sorter XL tray

One of the products system integrator Equinox MHE is highlighting at LogiMAT 2015 is the versatile Slide Tray Sorter XL Tray.

The most important feature of this sorter is that is able to sort products of various weights, dimensions and shapes. The sorter installation can be of particular use for postal & parcel businesses, for fashion retail companies and for e-commerce & fulfilment companies.

The system's versatility makes it possible to sort Royal Mail bags and Royal Mail trays with letters, bundles, parcels but also garments, accessories, books, shoeboxes, CDs, DVDs, etc. The weight of the products can vary from 100 gr up to 15 kg. Minimum dimensions are 70 X 70 X 5 mm, maximum dimensions are 615 X 450 X 400 mm.

Difficult shapes easily sorted

The Slide Tray Sorter XL tray is able to handle products with shapes that are notoriously difficult to sort. For example, soft, pliable bags and bundles and round or cylindrical objects and even fragile objects like glassware in carton boxes. Non-packaged garments also pose no problem for the installation.

Products gently slide out of the trays because they are attached to the sorter at an angle. It is possible to drop products onto roller conveyors or directly into containers.

The Slide Tray Sorter XL tray itself is also flexible; the machine can be designed to fit exactly in the warehouse in which it is installed, following bends and corners if necessary. Operators do not have to stand on a platform, they can stand on the floor inducting products into trays. The trays move up and down, even to higher levels in the building if that is required.

User-friendly

The software & control of the Slide Tray Sorter XL tray is developed by Equinox MHE. It can interface with all existing WMS and ERP systems and will always be maintained and upgraded. The induction screens are user-friendly and easy to learn to work with.

E-commerce and postal logistic business Secured Mail already has two Slide Tray Sorter XL trays in use in the United Kingdom. They are part of a turnkey system integration project.
