AQY800 and its excellent performance

As the originator of China’s kiloton crane, XCMG owns a brilliant record. Since their actual application in 2012, more than 20 kiloton cranes have worked in wind power projects in Fujian, Guangzhou, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi and other areas, lifting over 1600 sets of 2MW wind turbine. The strong lifting strength and perfect performance have won high praise from the construction side.

In the early hours of June 18, 2016, crane owner Mr. Liu with XCMG service team came to a large wind power project in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, where a large scale hoisting movie will be on stage.

The road is very clean after heavy rain two days ago, but in entering the construction site, the crane has to drive through a 4-meter-wide and 30-kilometer-long dirt road with more than 50 slopes of different degrees. The road is a tough task for ordinary vehicles, not to mention the 19-meter-long and 90-ton-weight crane.

Under the guidance of XCMG service engineer, the driver soon feels the surging power of QAY800 when stepping on the accelerator. Rushing to the battlefield, the driver easily uses various electro hydraulic control steering modes like road mode, small turning, crab walking and successfully reaches the destination. "I feel a little bit too easy to drive this big guy," the driver joked.

Mr. Liu said when he accepted the task, he was a bit worried. The environment of the construction site is really bad. Despite the good quality of XCMG crane, it is very difficult to assemble such a monster in such a confined space. However, with the hard working and dedicated XCMG workers, he was fully relaxed.

In the strong wind, XCMG service team methodically installed the arm, chassis and leg. "The advanced self-assembly technique has saved us a lot of time. What’s more, it saves the cost of a set of auxiliary crane," Mr. Liu said with smile.
